It Might be Cold or Hot

Temperatures are notoriously unpredictable this time of year. Please plan for temperatures ranging from the 30s (after the sun goes down) to the mid 70s. Check the weather here.

What to Wear

Lots of people have been asking us what to wear. Our official theme is southwest classy. We recommend looking nice, but not formal. If you wear nice jeans, cowboy boots and a vest, that’s fine. And if you want to wear and suit and get fancy that’s great too. On the ladies side, there will be lots of dresses and boots – but feel free to wear nice pants and a shirt if you prefer. Wear whatever looks good and makes you comfortable. It may also be a good idea to wear a hat and sunglasses for the ceremony – the weather looks like it will be pretty sunny. And jacket or flannel for when the sun goes down would be a good idea. Thanks.

Special Note About Shoes

Please be aware that we have no level ground on our property. While at our wedding you will have to navigate sticks, rocks and uneven ground (and maybe a prairie dog hole). For your own safety please wear proper shoes (heels are extremely discouraged).

Camping

You are welcome to camp at our house the night of the wedding (or the whole weekend). The northern half of our property and the canyon behind our house are all fair game. We will have porta-johns for the whole weekend with a hand wash station. WE DO NOT HAVE SHOWERS! There are two places in Dolores that you can take a shower: Dolores River Campground (3 men’s and 3 women’s showers) and the Outpost Motel (one shower). Both are $5. Please don’t make any fires, as we have a tons of dry grass that could easily start a brush fire.

Youngins

We are stoked to have all ages at our wedding. If you have a young one, be aware that our property is not the most kid friendly place (outside of our ceremony and reception area). Some hazards a young lady or gentleman may come across are sharp metal, screws and nails, old barb wire, cactus and prairie dog holes.
